Mitzi Summers September 2014 Pacific Northwest Clinic Series comes - TopicsExpress

Mitzi Summers September 2014 Pacific Northwest Clinic Series comes to the Puget Sound region September 12-28, 2014, hosted by Heron Hill Equine. She will be at El Dorado Farms for a full day of dressage, Western dressage, and centered riding on Saturday, September 20. Bring your horse and sign up for a private or semi-private lesson, or just bring yourself and audit the day. Either way, you are going to gain a lot by being here! (See heronhillequine/news-and-events.html and equineenergyexchange/mitzi_summers.html for details.) Internationally celebrated centered riding trainer Mitzi Summers returns to the Pacific Northwest for a clinic series September 12 - 28, 2014, hosted by Teren and Norman MacLeod, owners of Heron Hill Equine, located near Port Townsend, Washington. Mitzi has developed the SummersET training program based on her realization of a specific way of working with horses and their humans in an individualized, non-abusive way. Its not labeled as a method, because the term suggests a cookie-cutter approach to working with horses. No two horses or riders are ever alike. What one pair understands and needs may vary greatly from the needs of the next. The clinic series is scheduled to take place in several locations on the Olympic Peninsula and the east side of the Puget Sound. There are many opportunities for individually scheduling lessons at times and places more convenient for you. Please see our calendar for scheduling. The first event of the series is a free introduction to the series and a demonstration of long lining and double lunging presented at Heron Hill Equine, 241 Sand Road, Port Townsend at 4:30 pm Friday afternoon, September 12. This is followed on Saturday with an all-day group clinic at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend on The ABCs of Humans and Their Horses. The cost for the day is $85.00 per participant, and $20.00 to audit. 50% of the audit fee will be donated to the Jefferson Equestrian Association. All other clinic lessons are $70.00 for an hour-long slot. Two participants may share the slot as a semi-private at the same price ($35.00 each). If you sign up for three or more slots throughout the series, you will only have to pay $60.00 for each slot. Most host sites are charging a $10.00 haul-in fee, and some have stalls available for $25.00 for the day. There is a $10.00 audit fee for all of the clinic days except the ABCs of Humans and Their Horses clinic day. Please look at the range of clinic topics we are offering in the series. We would like to ask that you register for one or more clinics of your choice as soon as possible to ensure you have the widest range of choice available. You can help get the word out about this wonderful opportunity by downloading the clinic brochure, printing copies, and handing them out to your friends and equestrian organization members. So, come on out and spend some time with an incredible trainer. Were looking forward to having you with us!
