Mixed emotions this morning: So thankful for healthy children, in light of youngster learning of his new fight w/ cancer on the eve of being 21 Reflecting on marriage. Having our daughters party at the site of our wedding reminds me that its been a fight to make it sometimes-Im humbled shes been up for the battle Determined to not be quiet in the face of systemic barriers. Shouldnt come as a surprise but I am fortified in my resolve. Whether its demeaning an ethnic group or intimidating a person walking down the street, I will pull your card. Blessed to watch the sunrise this morning. A reminder that darkness is powerless, its merely the absence of light. God allow your Son to be the Light I shine while also exposing my own dark corners that I may be wiser, healthier and stronger for my family, friends and community. #FightingIsTheTheme #FightSmarter #WantBeefIHopeYouLikeItOvercooked
