MoS Dr Maliki Osman shared in a Berita Harian Interview, the various HDB schemes available to support the elderly, low-income families, single parent and singles. These include grants like the Additional CPF Housing Grant and Special CPF Housing Grant, upgrading programmes such as EASE and monetisation options like the Lease Buyback Scheme (LBS). An increase in quota for second-timers and flats for singles are also ways that HDB seeks to better support the low-income families and single parents. MOS Maliki also shared that schemes such as the Multi-Generational Priority Scheme (MGPS) as well as 3Gen flats help promote stronger family ties.
