Mobile 1000 - a big, best, and bold initiative of Wockhardt Foundation made a steady progress on its path of service and commitment. We launched 2 Mobile 1000 vans 1 in Ludhiana & 1 in Faridabad, donated by GAIL. The programme served more than 1,84,436 poor patients in the month of OCTOBER 2014. NEED OF MOBILE 1000 • Rural healthcare = Need of hour • India has 6, 36,000 villages but only 23,000 Primary Health Centres • 31% of village population travel more than 30 kms to receive primary healthcare HIGHLIGHTS OF MOBILE 1000 • Free primary healthcare in rural India through Mobile Health Vans • Van administers ADCR formula (Awareness + Diagnosis + Cure + Referral) • 1 Van = 25,000 patients treated per year HIGHLIGHTS OF MOBILE 1000 IN OCTOBER 2014 • Total Vans = 93 • No. of states covered = 14 • Breakup of Vans: Andhra Pradesh = 13 Telangana = 27 Uttar Pradesh = 18 Maharashtra = 12 Odissa = 5 Madhya Pradesh = 6 Uttarakhand = 2 Gujarat = 2 Bihar = 1 Rajasthan = 1 Karnataka = 1 Jharkhand- 2 Punjab = 1 Haryana = 2 • Total Patients treated = 1,84,436 • Average patients checked per day = 95 • Total villages covered = 1470 villages • Average villages per Van = 16 villages • Main diseases treated: » Respiratory infections, diarrhea, malaria, body ache, cough & cold, anemia, fever, scabies, conjunctivitis, ear infections, skin itching, skin infections, arthritis, peptic ulcer disease, hypertension, diabetes, dehydration, backache, weakness, gastritis, malnutrition, infections.
