Mobile Diski League praised THE Premier Soccer League has endorsed the new Under-16 Mobile Diski League, saying it will teach youngsters the basics of the beautiful game. PSL chairman Irvin Khoza said the new five-a-side league will help to ensure that players become technically and tactically aware at an early age. The MDS is the brainchild of Nkgopotse Ndlovu, who is the founder of Loqdown, a sports development company focusing on talent identification. "I attended the launch of the Mobile Diski League in Dobsonville [Soweto] on Sunday and I was highly impressed with what I saw in terms of raw talent," said Khoza. "What I saw reminded me of the good olden days when we used to teka [juggle] the tennis ball as youngsters in the various townships and villages." Khoza suggested the league, which will kick off next month, be spread to other provinces. The games will be played on the Loqdown Flexcourt, with pitches covered by multipurpose action flooring.
