Mobile Technology Coordinator - Taycom - Cordova, TN SUMMARY: Monitor and troubleshoot the enterprise wireless equipment at all times including error free installation of hardware and software. Must primarily perform work requiring advanced learning or work that is original and creative. Also, must consistently exercise independent choice and judgment or perform work requiring invention, imagination or talent in a recognized field of artistic endeavor 50% or more of the time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Performs installations of Wireless hardware and/or software. Performs wireless systems software management and maintenance. This includes both software programs as well as BIOS updates of Wireless devices. Works with applications development to support development of programs which interface with the enterprise’s wireless applications. Trains personnel in the functions of installed wireless equipment including special procedures and problem determination and solution processes. Coordinates activities with the Disaster Recovery Coordinator to ensure the continued operation of the Wireless devices in the case of a disaster. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Participates with vendors in the assessment of advanced enterprise operating systems and new wireless enterprise systems technology. Maintains documentation concerning wireless software and network systems. Provides support by responding to wireless network problems issued from the Help Desk. Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Reliable and regular attendance is expected. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two-year technical degree and two to five years wireless network experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Solid working knowledge different wireless devices, OSI, iOS, Android OS, Windows Mobile OS, Blackberries, and Wireless Access Points Knowledge of enterprise operating procedures and policies as they relate to Wireless, and other enterprise technical systems. Effective communicator and planner. Ability to accomplish tasks with a minimum of supervision. Ability to work well with other departments and people outside of the enterprise. Good customer service skills. Good problem solving skills. Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks. Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
