Modern Comedy was invented in America and this isnt an opinion, its a fact.... stand-up, the sitcom, comedy albums, ect... all American inventions. If you are going to pick a UK comedian at least pick someone funny like Ricky Gervais. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg are not funny whatsoever, in fact their films are the embodiment of unfunny. Why do people try to act as if opinions are facts, they were also trying to say that Edgar Wright is a horrible director because he isnt funny. Directors arent comedians and from a film standpoint the way that Edgar Wright actually uses sound, lighting and things entering/leaving the frame is all extremely well filmed and in fact I would say hes better than a good majority of modern film makers.
