Mohammad has got to be one of the most despicable religious leaders in history, as the facts of his life attest. When he failed to persuade people to trust in his visions, he murdered them. He tortured people, gouged out their eyes, cut off their hands and feet, and crucified them. He killed old people and young – many while begging for their lives. He slit the throats of whole towns and villages and stole property, wives, and slaves. He fornicated freely with slave women – including married slaves. He molested a 6 year old girl – taking her as his “wife” while she was still playing with dolls in her mother’s house. He took his son’s wife to be his own. He lied and broke his oaths. He would utter idolatrous verses – and later retract them claiming that he was tricked by Satan. He spent an entire year in mental confusion – which he attributed to being bewitched by a Jew. He was afraid of thunder, dogs, and visitors. He hated Jews and Christians and in dying breath demanded they both be driven out from Saudi Arabia. He abused women and was superstitious and arbitrary in his dealings. He was a cult-leader who demanded that his followers obey him as God, and he exempted himself from the convoluted rules of daily life that he imposed upon his followers. Time and space prevents an accounting of all the filthy and degrading and cruel and treacherous things this scoundrel did during his miserable life. They have been retold many times – and there is no Muslim reading this who can claim to be “unaware” of these atrocities committed by the founder of their religion. Why do Moslems deeply revere such a loathsome wretch? So these two facts – (1) the Koran’s faulty origin, and (2) Mohammed’s filthy life, – should cause rational people to reject the Islamic religion as a joke. But they don’t. WHY??
