Mom....Dad....can you hear me? Where are you? I got all excited when you said we were going for a ride, until you slowed down by Kimball Lake, opened the door, and took off. I got so excited I thought we were going to go swimming and when I turned around, you were driving away. So, I waited patiently for you to return. I waited, and waited, and waited but you never came back. Did I do something naughty? If I did, I didnt mean it - Im sorry Mom and Dad. A nice lady found me wandering looking for you and she took me to this place on another lake, it is called Lake Haven. They put me in a kennel, gave me a soft bed, food, water and some toys. I tried to be on my best behavior there but I am really anxious. I drool and whine because every car I hear approaching my ears perk up, I hear footsteps, and I think it is you - that you came back to get me. But you never did. I know my health isnt that great and that I have a big tumor on my butt and I know that will cost alot of money, is that why you just dumped me in a strange place to fend for myself? I cant fathom that you would do that to me - I have been your faithful and most loving sidekick. But I have to face reality....you will never come back to get me. The lady at Lake Haven took me to the vet today. They told her that I am about 4 years old and I have to go back to the vet next week to get the bump on my butt removed. I am kinda scared but the other animals at the shelter tell me it will be a-okay from here on out! P.S. I am a girl and will be looking for a foster home after my surgery. Please tell me that someone will want me, please!
