Mom Heart Surgery Update October 23 2014 Mom was planning on having a minimally invasive TAVR Procedure via artery and Long Beach Memorial however during the testing and planning process it was determined this was not a viable option, so another option that offered better outcomes was used. The cardiac physician team surgically replaced her aortic valve. She was in surgery for 3 ½ hours and after ensuring heart was working well she was moved to ICU for several days and then be moved to another room for recovery and Rehabilitation and then be moved to a Rehabilitation facility. We remain optimistic that she will return home by Thanksgiving. Mom and our family are sincerely appreciative and thankful for continued prayers and thoughts especially for her caregivers.
