Mom Post: Can you please post without my name. Vent: A little background info....My SO and I are not married so when I say my sd its not legally but in my heart she is like my own. I have been in her life for over four years. But now to my rant....this past Friday BM sent me a text saying sd had a hearing test done in school and in her right ear she had servere hearing loss. Bm said she would call to get an appointment set up for further testing. I texted her yesterday to see if she called the doctor and guess what ummm no her excuse was she was waiting on the school nurse to call and get a referral which could have been very true but knowing her it was just an excuse to get me off her back. So I asked again today if she heard from the nurse and if she didnt then told her she probably should get her into her family doctor so he could refer her to a specialist if need be and this time she was like will do it tomorrow. Its so frustrating because me being a parent of my own child I would have already been calling around getting appointments set up. My sd has already been held back and is struggling again this year and we have found a factor that is at least some of the reason if not all of it and her mom keeps pushing it off like its not a big deal. And then my SO acts like its my fault its not getting taking care of. Ummm we are not married and I have no rights to be able to take her to the doctor let alone get it all set up to see a specialist. RP ~Koo~ Please No Bashing
