Mom Post: Hello all! I really need some help! Heres a little back story. My bf and I have been together for going on three years. He has two children from a previous relationship, SD 7 and SS 5. We also have a 2 month old baby boy. My bf had some personal issues a few years back and it was in the best interest of the children to sign over temporary custody to the mothers grandparents. Since doing so he has been allowed little contact with his children. In March of this year I told him to start going after the great grandparents for visitation. He doesnt have money for a lawyer so he is doing this all in his own. Since taking the great grandparents to court our lives have been difficult. The great grandparents have been making false accusations against my bf. Resulting in my bf having supervised visitation. He has made mistakes in the past but has since changed. He has bettered his life for his kids and recently graduated from culinary school. On Thanksgiving Day my bf tried to get in touch with his children and was not successful. He tried again the next day with the same result. He became upset so I told him to call the local police station and have them do a well being check. The police called my bf back two hours later and told him he is not to have any contact with his children and there was a complaint against him. He was unable to get to the bottom of anything till this morning. He called the great grandparents lawyer to find out that they filed a complaint with DCFS saying my bf molested his daughter. It never happened, my bf has had supervised visitation the whole time. These people are ruining my bfs reputation. We need help. They are threatening to take my 2 month old away. We live in Illinois. We want the great grandparents to be forced to pay my bfs court and lawyer fees. We also want to sue for defermation if character. My bf would never hurt an innocent child.
