Mom had a procedure today and had a toe removed. When they went to remove her off of the ventilator, she could not breath on her own. They kept her on it for a while and put her in SICU. Tonight they were able to get her off of it, but she is totally confused, screaming in pain, begging for us to pick her up, begging for us to help her, she cannot make out completes sentences so we sometimes do not know what she is trying to say. They had to put these restraints on her because she is trying to pull everything out. The bad thing is this procedure was not major in any way. It was very much a minor thing. The dr. said anything can happen, but he sure did not see this coming. Now, she still has the worse infection still in her ankle. We hopefully will get answers tomorrow on how they are going to handle the rest. Please pray for comfort and peace in her life and for the people caring for her that they know what to do.
