Mom update: First of all, my mom is a badass! After 10-days of touch-and-go with a heart function at 10% (15% at best with 50-60% considered normal), a balloon pump assisting her heart, 2 rounds of a breathing tube after her lungs filled with fluid 36 hours after its first removal-we were prepped for loss. Survival wasnt considered much of an option. Then, Mama started kickin ass. Her heart function improved to 47% in a matter of days, she started joking and laughing and even fighting to get out of the bed and walk around. Today, she has been out of the hospital for, I believe, 4 days and is in a retirement center for a total of 30-days for cardiac rehab and physical therapy. She will be home in a matter of weeks. We are all so grateful for the support-Im overwhelmed with the amount of people who were on her side. Strangers, friends I havent talked to in years, friends and coworkers of friends messaging to check her progress and send sweet messages of motivation. Youre all so appreciated! My mom is making it!!! Shes such a strong-willed, amazing woman with so much more fight in her than I think she even knew she had! Im forever grateful for you, Terri and Im so glad I get to live more of my life with you in it! I love you!!!!
