Moment of the day: Leaving Cape Town I spotted political rebel child and EFF leader, Julius Malema, in his red uniform and wearing a Palestinian scarf. So go up to hi and introduce myself as Rolene from Israel and proceed to tell him all about what we are enduring in Israel and that South Africa could have played a significant role but is too biased. He (very friendly) shakes my hand and tells me that just because he wears a Palestine scarf doesnt mean he is anti-Israel. He believes in two states and Hamas must stop the rockets but due to historical ties, is more pro-Palestinian and he does not want to see women and children die. I tell him Israelis want peace and we have just buried 29 of our children. He shakes my hand, wishes me the best and we go our separate ways. Quite an interesting moment.....
