Moment of truth: I never joined the navy through some fierce need to serve. I knew what I was getting into but not really, I held up my right hand selfishly.. For benefits, security and a college education. It was only thru this service that I was blessed to come to understand what it meant to be a Veteran. I developed an understanding of why my Dads smile was a little bit brighter the day I graduated basic, and why my moms tears seem to flow an extra mile the day that I left home. They knew what the sacrifice was, what awaited me in my future serving in the Worlds Finest Navy. My Gunner and his Mrs. made it look damn easy so that my knowledge of the sometimes burdensome lifestyle was something I would obtain by choice. Now the next Two times I raised that right hand. It was in wholehearted dedication to as some may say, God... Country and those that I love. I did it having weathered a bit of the storm and each time with more pride and a greater since of accomplishment. A commitment that truth be told would be IMPOSSIBLE without my momma Felicia Davis-Ellis... A hell of a team we are : ) This life has its ups and downs but I can say that I love what I do and I thank you for supporting me and affording the opportunity to do it.Im a proud Sailor and even more proud to be one of the **Elite of the Fleet** #YourPlaneMySpace #AC2
