Moms of daughters who are under.....Im gonna say 13: School - TopicsExpress

Moms of daughters who are under.....Im gonna say 13: School shopping, it may seem like a chore to you now, but Im saying enjoy every second. Every second you can hold up a shirt and she goes oh, I love that! You can even glance through the clearance section without her noticing or caring...she may start to care about brands a little earlier than 13, but its not a huge deal...I yearn for the days when I could even go shopping for my daughter alone even, bring home a few bags, which she would excitedly dig through, exclaiming I like it ALL! Soooo cute! Often, these may have been from Old Navy...possibly the clearance section...(you can buy a lot from that one area!) Those days are gone and I wish I wouldve enjoyed them more. My daughter is 14 1/2. We went shopping yesterday. Im pretty sure the only thing we agreed on is a soft pretzel for lunch, which she promptly complained made her stomach bloat as shes now convinced shes allergic to gluten. Sigh. Everything I suggested clothing-wise was greeted by rolling eyes or aw, cute. (Thats code for hang it up and walk away)....we finally split up, it was best for us both, sanity-wise...A little less stressful. Anyway, it made me nostalgic for the days of one-stop shopping (and always 40% off!) at Justice....so remember this ladies. Enjoy the school shopping with your daughter while she still thinks you have fashion sense. (Its funny I must know a little since the same girl raids my closet on a regular basis.)
