Monday: 1 Tim. 1:15-16 • Praise God for finding you worthy to be chosen as a sample through which Christ Jesus will show forth a pattern for believers • Praise God for salvation through which this is made possible. Meditation/Prayer/Action point: 1 Tim. 4:12 • Can God showcase me as an example/pattern for believers in these areas? • Where am I lacking in these? • How can I appropriate grace to make up in the areas where I am lacking? • What decisions, actions, and changes do I have to make? • Spot them out; commit them to God, and TAKE ACTION! Tuesday: Titus 2:11-13 • Father let the grace that brought me salvation come to me once again • Grant me sensitivity to recognise ungodliness and worldly lusts lurking in my life and give me the will to deny them • Let my heart accept the wisdom in living soberly, the joy of living righteously, and the benefit of living godly Meditation/Prayer/Action point: 1 Corin. 6:1 • In what area of my life have I received the grace in vain? • How have I misused the grace? • Am I bound by procrastination, self-will, complacency, fear, pride and other vices that nullify and void the grace of God? • Open up to the Holy Spirit and be willing to do as He points issues and directions to you Wednesday: Romans 11:1-6 • Thank you Lord that you foreknew me, set your purpose in my heart , and empowered me for fulfilment through salvation in Christ Jesus • Thank you for your son Jesus Christ who is interceding for me that I may not fail – Heb. 7:25 • Lord make me a remnant according to election of grace • Let your grace be sufficient for me • Grace not to bow my knee to the various images of Baal of our time. That my heart may not be drawn to kiss them. Meditation/Prayer/Action point: Romans 12:1-2 • How much attention do I pay to the demands of my body beyond the necessary care? • Do I seek God’s acceptability in the way I adorn my body? • Am I able to obey God in spite of my body – its feels and looks? • Am I able to constrain my body and subject it in holiness? • What are the things the Holy Spirit is pointing His finger at in the way you manage your body? • Please pray and act! Thursday: 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 7, 12 • Father, please deliver my soul from the perils of the last days • Grant me the grace to resist the spirit of the last days • Help me to renounce and turn away from embracing and indulging in these end-time behaviours • Teach me your truth and cause me not only to know truth but to live by the truth • Father, grant me the grace not only to believe in you, but also the will to suffer for you. Philp. 1:29 Meditation/Prayer/Action point: Philippians 3:13-16 • What are my past experiences that I still live in? • How are these past (successes or failures) blurring or affecting my present and threaten my future walk with God? • How do these pasts measure in comparison with the calling of God i.e the primary calling to a life that pleases and glorifies Him? • As God points out issues to you, receive the willingness to make necessary adjustments by His grace. Friday: Matthew 25:1-13 • Father, save me from presumptuous sins • Cause me to seek your wisdom in my walk in life and with you • Please let not my life run out of your oil • Father, wake me from my slumber, let your sun rise up on me, and may I not fall back into slumber again as I tarry for your return Meditation/Prayer/Action point: • What signifies the oil in my life? Burden for prayer, passion for the lost, hunger for the word of God, zeal for the work of God, promptness to obedience to His word etc • What is the level of this oil? • What are the competing attitudes and interests that have made me to neglect these “oil”? • What must I do to ensure the oil does not go dry so that my lamp does not go out? • Note what the Lord is laying on your heart and set yourself to doing it. Saturday: John 15: 1- 8 • Father turn your search light and attention on me – my heart, attitudes, appetites, dispositions, ambitions, relationships, etc • Take away any and every of these branches in me that do not bear fruit of righteousness in my life • The ones that bear fruit Lord, please prune, cut off my excesses that I may bear more fruit • Father, help me to be willing to stay in you and living within the boundaries of your revealed will Meditation/Prayer/Action point: Matthew 5:23-24 • Have a reflection of your life • Has anyone offended you so greatly that you have not considered it necessary to forgive? • Are you struggling to forgive yourself and accept God’s forgiveness over some past sins? • Ask the Lord for a new spirit and a new mind Sunday: Jeremiah 18:1-4 • I submit myself as the clay in the hand of the porter (you) • Work your will in my life Philp. 2:13 • Break me from my self making and make me to fit into your purpose • Praise God for the presence of the Holy Spirit • Pray that you shall not resist the working of the Holy Spirit in your life Meditation/Prayer/Action point: James 4:4-7 • What attracts me into friendship with the world? • How do I qualify for God’s favour (in terms of humily vs pride)? • What is my submission level to God? Is God OK with my partial submission? • What areas of my life do I find difficult to submit to Him? • How long have I allowed the devil to work in my life because I have not resisted him enough? • Pray that God would cause you to stand and grace to resist him.
