Monday August 4th - Smiles By Carol Buzalsky — 7 minutes ago Marlene spent the day at the hospital with mom. I stopped in to check on mom and Marlene at lunch for about 15 minutes and after work for about 30 minutes. It was amazing to see moms big smile and bright eyes. She is looking so much better. She is very tired and sleepy most of the time but seems to be comprehending and understanding everything. Her smile was much larger later in the day but Im guessing it was due to the fact that Linda Olson was there to visit and she got a break from Marlene and I being mother hens around mom! CRT Dialysis was stopped on Sunday evening. Nephrology will be checking each day to see if they need to do the shorter every couple of days dialysis treatment. She wasnt producing huge amounts on her own but her kidneys are doing some work and producing some urine. hopefully that continues and she will be able to get off dialysis quickly. The doctor checks today and vitals remained consistent and stable. Yeah MOM!!! Marlene, Linda, Lindas cousin Nancy and I had a fun supper downtown Fargo tonight. We had planned to eat at the new Blackbird Pizza place but they are closed Monday. We ended up at John Alexanders instead. We discovered that it is John Alexanders for supper and Juanos for lunch. It was an interesting dining experience that took a very long time. It was good we had a lot of laughs to keep us occupied while waiting for food! Praying for continued days of laughter, smiles and improving health.
