Monday, Bill had a follow up appointment for his banged up knee. It segued into an ER visit for a rapid heartbeat. Meds to reduce his pulse, then a whole battery of tests and scans, which showed nothing wrong with his heart. The most likely culprit appears to be the diuretic prescribed for edema in his leg. The warning label lists cardiac arrhythmia as an uncommon side effect. So bottom line---Bill is fine, his heart is fine. I have so many Thank Yous for Monday. Rachel Carrie-thank you for keeping your Dad company in the ER so I could do chores. Charlie Kohl-thank you for sending people right over when I called. Jordon Abbott-thank you for feeding silage and running the gutter cleaner. It was an absolute bonus that you are totally familiar with all of our machinery.{side note- Belleview Farms-Joe, you are a stellar Dad! Jordan is terrific!} Thank you Trevor Grandjean and Jessica Shelmedine for coming right over, and for cleaning out the heifers. Thank you Gary Gaylord for coming Monday afternoon, then again on Tuesday morning. Also, thank you Skyler Barney and Nicole Briggs for coming when I called--Nick, thanks for feeding hay and helping me milk! Finally--thank you Janet Abbott (and Nena Whitney Scott!) for the care package! Ralfie, I know how crazy your schedule is. I was so touched to see you! I also want to say thank you to Dustin Parker and Gary and Jordan for shifting all of the heifers around in the barn a couple of weeks ago. Chores are so much simpler now. Thank you, one and all.
