Monday I did something that was very difficult! I looked my 19 students in the face and told them I wasnt coming back next year. To most, this wouldnt be a big deal because as kids move through school, they get a new teacher and a new set of classmates each year. To my class, this was different. I have looped with my kids since first grade, meaning they have had the same classmates and teacher for the last three years. And although it was never in the plan to loop to 4th with them, they would still see me in the halls next year. You see I said YES, 11 months ago to doing a 24 Day Challenge...to gain some energy and lose some weight. Never in my wildest dreams, did I think that it would have turned into a supplemental income that is now allowing me to come home to focus on other things! I am going to miss teaching next year, the teacher/administration friends that I have made, and the students who made me smile daily but I know The Lord has something in store for me and I am excited to see what it is!!
