Monday, October 28, 2013 I was excited to get several emails from AJ today! Nearly all of them were videos of him with the orphans in Port at Prince. Each one of them said hello to each of our kids. It was cute to see them try to say our names! Of course they speak Creole so it would be a challenge! They are leaving tomorrow by boat to go to their post! The past few days have been spent preparing for their clinic. I am sure he is going to have a hard time leaving all of the children behind!! The kids are doing okay, for the most part, with AJ being gone. Lily has not given me one problem since he left. Sweet as always! Grant, on the other hand, has had a few outbursts of anger. This type of anger has been pretty much nonexistent for about a year. Our psychologist helped us get him through the anger last year. I think that he is worried that AJ will leave and not come back... Just like his brothers did in his eyes. All men in his life seem to leave. He doesnt seem to understand why his brothers had to leave. All I can do is reassure him that daddy is coming back! Poor little guy! Thankfully, Grant is feeling well. His nose is continually running and he has chemo spots all over his face but overall he is well! I wish the weather would decide what it wants to do so his face can stop being spotted! We were told that whenever the weather has a drastic change in temperature, his skin will show it. Of course, every time he cries he is left with a trail of spots where his tears came from his eyes. It makes me sick to think of what is going on inside his body if this is what we see on the outside. Uugghh! My kids were very snuggly tonight though! I will never turn that away!! We had a movie night with hot cocoa and popcorn! Life doesnt get any better than that for two little kids!
