Monday, October 6: Dane has always been one to find the positive, to edify. Today I took both boys for a doctor’s appointment. Pierce had to get an injection, which doesn’t sound like a big deal – except – he has a real fear of needles following one really bad experience a few years ago. He was really having trouble and struggling with allowing someone to even come near him with a needle. Dane is in the room and he gets up – walks over to Pierce and says – “Just pray, just trust” . The nurse starts crying, calling out to Jesus for peace, I am crying, praying – Dane sits and prays. Pierce gets the injection. Victory! The sweet nurse tells us that is was such an encouragement for her as she had been struggling with something and Dane’s words and Pierce’s reaction helped her to trust in the Lord. Glory to God. Then this evening, Diran gets home and he and Dane ride down to the pens to feed. Dane gets in the truck and asks his dad “So how many patients did you see today?” That may not seem like an unusual question EXCEPT it was exactly what Dane had always asked his daddy at the end of each day when he came home before the accident. What a comfort for us!! It is an honor to see the Lord working through my children. Thank you Lord! Thank you for the sweet spirit in this child. May we all be that person to someone. “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Praying for Dane’s continued healing, Pierce’s healing (its allergies) and God’s perfect plan. Oh and one new thing – Dane has always played with a “cowboy yoyo” and until today has not been able to make the knot – he did it tonight! Glory to God……..Sunday’s coming………….
