Monday, September 16 Genesis 6:11-22 AN INVITATION TO COVENANT WITH GOD “But I will establish my covenant with you ….” Genesis 6:18, NIV The people during the time of Noah did evil in the sight of God. However, Noah made up his mind to live a life of holiness. He understood God’s call to a life of holiness and separation from the world and all it represents. As a result, God spared him from the general destruction. He became a remnant in a perverse generation, and a reminder of God’s covenant with humankind, before the flood and afterward. Christians are called to a covenant in which God promises to live in us and walk among us, to be our God and we, His people. Our part is to separate ourselves from the world and have nothing to do with filthiness and anything that can defile our bodies and spirit (2 Corinthians 6:16–7:1). In this covenant, God has bound Himself with an oath so that we can be perfectly sure that He will never change His mind. We can also hold unto His promise with confidence and not turn away. The Lord is not pleased with anyone who turns away from the covenant. Read Bible Through Passage: Eccl. 10, 11, 12; 2 Cor. 7
