Monday morning! You know what this means? Tonight is The Project at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino, and this show is going to blow your socks off! You do not want to miss this! Through the grape vine, I have heard a few whispers about some of the performances we are going to see tonight from out team, and all I can say is AWESOME! Bring it team! This is going to be a blast! Two weeks to go for public voting, and then on September 8 the grand finale. Come on out Calgary, and show them your support! They are putting it all together for us Calgary! These performers have been through some major twists and turns during the run of this event, and tonight they put it together in their own individual way, and show us what they can come up with as an entertainers! Costumes? Props?...who knows? So in order to find out, BE THERE! Now gang, you know us by now. Some may call it secretive, some may call it different, but in this industry you may have come to understand that expecting the unexpected does come in useful when on stage performing . You never know what can happen during a show, and during this event, you have seen this happen a few times already. Was it expected? Or unexpected? The choice is yours to decided................. So with this said, I can no longer keep the secret of the expected........TEAM GET READY! As you know, we have and are honored to have JEFF WOODS with us tonight,from Q107 Classic Rock Radio, but did you know there are MORE judges coming on board with us tonight? THATS RIGHT! A lot more! WHY? Because we decided here at NeXt Factor Entertainment, we would put it all together for YOU as far as judging goes! Voice? Acting? Stage Presence? Listening pleasure? We got it covered! Introducing our TEAM on the judging panel for this evening! First with great pleasure, from his ring, to ours we welcome: NICK RING ( The Promise,) MMA Fighter from UFC! He will be the first judge with us not involved in the music industry, but he does understand what it takes to be a champion! He will be offering the team his opinions as a public judge. Rising to the top, this gentlemen know what it takes to be challenged! Welcome Nick Ring! Second Judge, Please welcome: WENDY LUMBY, from Faces of Wendy and former Olympian. Wendy owns and operates her agency here in Calgary, Faces of Wendy, a very high standard talent agency where her talent are supported, respected, and are working on a regular basis in the acting / entertainment industry here in Alberta! Welcome WENDY! Third judges, Please welcome: SAGE RHODES Sage is writing music which is rock based,with a hint of blues,soul, funk and folk. Hard rock, some middle of the road and a spattering of ballads describes the mix of Sages originals. Sage entered the live music scene in July 2013 with some of her collection of originals and the songs continue to emerge keeping each show unique. The love of music and singing has been a part of Sages life as far back as she can remember and she started writing songs when she was 12 years old. Piano and guitar were the foundation of her early songs and this remains the same today, with the exception of a switch to keyboards, and some songs being written on the bass guitar. After a few years of down time with only lyrics to show for the time that passed, 2011 and 2012 was comprised of singing backup in a tribute band along with writing, recording, editing and producing her own songs and forming a band called Hallucidream, which has since disbanded. In March of 2013 Sage called for players again and brought in Jeremy Schrader, Raja Sunhair and Connor Williams Olson as the main players for her group. In Sept, Chris Bauer and Shawn Tiedemann joined as backup players with Chris stepping into full time position on bass in Feb 2014. In May 2014, Jeremy stepped out with Ryan Smith joining as lead/rhythm. Sage is extremely grateful for the incredible amount of support from the talented and dedicated musicians in her band, her amazing friends both new and old, blessings and love from an unbelievable family and all the people who have taken the time and interest in her work. Her music comes from thoughts and feelings based on her experiences in life as well as watching others struggle and laugh through theirs. She has given an incredible amount of time, energy, heart and emotion to the songs and is driven to bring the music to you. There is a CD is in the making,a video to be released and more songs are being written and produced so keep your eyes peeled! Beyond radio, Jeff Woods has played successful roles in the music business, including owning and operating a Toronto Record Store and as a Marketing and Promotion Record Label Rep.
