Monday was the one year anniversary of my Dads stroke. I cannot thank everyone enough for the thoughts and prayers offered over the past year. Thankfully he has made dramatic improvements, since the event. Monday was also a significant day because Daddy was presented the 3M Outstanding Volunteer Award for his many years of volunteer service to the Wayside Community and Fire Department. Daddy was one of 30 employees and retires recognized globally. To put this into perceptive, 3M currently employs 19,000 individuals globally and countless more have retired from the company. I am very proud of my Dad in so many ways. He is a great person, a leader, a rock, and my hero. Lastly I would like to offer a special thank you to Mr. Terry Dillard of the Kirkland-Bluff-Wayside Fire Department for nominating Daddy for this award. Likewise I want to thank everyone who endorsed his nomination by signature or written endorsement.
