Mondays Melodic Memories: Check Yes Or No - George Strait I grew up listening to country music when I was very young, but drifted away from it for quite a few years in my youth as I started exploring 50s and 60s pop and vocal groups, as well as the hair and metal bands that were a little more current. But it was hearing this one song during my freshman year of college that had me pinning my ears back and running toward country music again. This song was part of Georges Strait Out Of The Box collection, and I had to have it! It was four discs of all of Georges hits up to that point. I fell back in love with those fiddles and steel guitars, even as I was playing in bands that were covering grunge and alternative songs.
