Mondays tip of the day! My recent event success has prompted me to give away my secrets! So here they are! What I do to have a successful booth! First and foremost the golden rule of our business applies...quality not quantity! Once I figured this little tidbit out about a year and a half ago it changed my business and my success with selling wraps, signing new customers, booking parties, and of course finding TONS of distributors.at my events! So how does this work? Well let me tell you what I did in the first two years so that it makes sense! The first couple years I would stand in front of my booth trying to get as many people as I possibly could to fill out that slip to win a free wrap! I was going for quantity! But see, when I would get home and place the calls I would rarely get anything from it UNLESS they were actually picked for a free wrap....and even then Id go wrap them without signing them up or getting a party! So I decided this was NO GOOD and I was sick of forking out free stuff and getting NOTHING in return! Then I switched things up and started going for quality NOT quantity! So how exactly and why exactly does this work? First lets get into the why! WHY it works is because this business (yes Im going to say it again) is all about BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS! Figuring out what it is that your prospects need or want that you can help them with! You see, I was not finding that out I was just trying to get a name and a number thinking I would get lucky and stumble into things! And I would stumble into things once in a great while but not enough! So going for quality leads made sense because it gives me more time to figure out what I had to offer the prospect by getting to know them! Now the HOW it works! So basically I only have people fill out the lead slip that I truly believe had an interest in either hosting a party, booking an appointment, becoming a customer, or becoming a distributor! Only people that I feel are quality leads do I ask to enter my free drawing! This way I know that every person I call I have an amazing shot at getting one of those things to happen. I get them by still standing in front of the table but I simply have blitz cards in my hand and ask HAVE you heard of IT WORKS and that crazy wrap thing as people walk by! The ones I bond with that stop and ask questions and I feel its a quality lead ..I ask them to fill out the slip for my free wrap drawing! (Now this part is important so pay attention) when they walk away I take the slip and I write on the back everything we talked about, who was with them, their issues, ect. This is huge because when you shoot them a text or call after the event and you mention what you spoke about it builds that relationship even further and it makes the prospect believe that you care...they will be impressed that out of the several people you talked to that day, you remembered their situation! Remember people buy things from people they know and trust and people they truly believe care about them! I would rather leave an event with 5 solid for sure leads because I took that time to LISTEN, BOND,.and TALK to them vs. 100 people that just filled out a slip to win something. Now people will probably argue this point with me saying that you should get as many leads as you can, but I can only tell you that my success rate went from 10% with someone becoming part of my business or booking a party when I went for quantity to 98% success when I started shooting for quality! This is what the game changer was for me! So this is the first tip on having a great event and I have a ton more! So stay tuned to part two in tomorrows tip of the day!
