Money controls the media... Obama Immigration Speech: CBS, Fox, NBC & ABC Not Airing. Shame on Mainstream Media as it sides with Fox and keeps the American Public in Ignorance. A deliberate slap at the President and the People of the United States. Brian Williams is wrong. President Obama did not pick a fight with the Republicans in Congress as he said to viewer on his program tonight (11/19/14). Republicans, many from Congress, have been attacking this president since January 20, 2009 when they literally plotted to remove him from office. Meanwhile President Obama is doing what has to be done for the People - Immigration Reform, and the GOP has been against him, and they are willing to sacrifice the American Economy and the majority of American People to prevent this man from doing his job. It is a dangerous world we are seeing. Shame on the Media... on an important issue that has been dealt with by just about every Republican president since Eisenhower without a knockdown from Congress or the media. (Note the current Senate has already passed a bipartisan immigration reform bill that the House has not brought to the floor for a vote. That could have been done easily except for a conservative faction within the Republican caucus those outside influences of their voting decisions.) No matter what political leanings one has, the Mainstream Media is demonstrating unprofessional standards by their lack of respect for the person in the White House and for the Office of the President itself and more importantly, the People of the United States of America. America has always been a nation of immigrants and that is the Peoples bottom line. Journalism would never been manipulated so strongly during past decades in such a manner. In the past when Journalists reported based on the integrity of their profession, viewing audiences would have been kept aware of an issue like this by being educated not manipulated. No more it seems. Instead a one sided corporate world is in the media drivers seat. And a corporate Congress apparently does not want immigration reform because they know that money is their bottom line. As Mitch McConnell told David Koch, The GOP is the party of the private sector.
