Monopoly cat vs Dogs teams Cats vs. Dogs Rules 1. Each team gets $1,000, not the normal $1,500. 2. Each team must name their token and must always be referred to by their token name. Any team that does not call the opposing team by the correct name is subject to a fee of $20. 3. Shuffle all the property cards, including Stations and Utilities, and split them into two decks. Give one deck to each team. Teams now own the properties they are given. 4. At any time should the Scottie Dog Token and Cat Token land in the SAME COLOR SET or on Stations or Utilities at the same time, there’s going to be a face off. Each team must roll both dice and the highest roll gets to steal ONE property from the other team. You cannot steal a property from a complete set. 5. At any time should the Scottie Dog Token and the Cat Token land on EXACTLY THE SAME space then it’s a big showdown. Each team must roll both dice and the winner can steal a complete or partial set from the other team. 6. Mortgages – Cats and Dogs cannot do Mortgages as they don’t have opposable thumbs and are not able to hold a pen. That means no signing on the dotted line! Teams can pay debts by giving the other team a bank property they own, valued at the price shown on the board space. 7. Free Parking for the Cat team means they can pause the game for however long they need to. The Dog team can’t roll the dice until the Cat team has satisfied their needs, which could include getting a snack, a drink or stretching their legs, etc. 8. Jail – If you go to Jail, you can try to woof or meow your way out. Woof or Meow between 1 and 6 times. Roll both dice, if EITHER dice number matches your ‘Woof or Meow number’ then you bust out and head for freedom. Otherwise, pay $50 and bail out immediately. 9. The Dog team gets $5 for making nice with members of the Cat team. Terms will be determined by the Cat team, but could include getting them a drink, etc. 10. The Dog team must pay an extra $5 when landing on Cat team properties in case of any damage caused by staying there.
