Monster Alert: The Eyes Say It All. Glens Falls man accused of killing dog pleads not guilty Posted: Apr 08, 2014 4:45 AM PDT Updated: April 8, 2014 01:09 PM GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - The man accused of binding and drowning a dog in Glens Falls was in court on Tuesday. Police arrested Matthew Wisell, 28, of Glens Falls on Friday afternoon on a charge of animal cruelty. He pleaded not guilty to the charge on Tuesday. The judge also issued a full order of protection and he is still in custody On April 3, the small, tan, mixed designer breed was found near the shore line of Havilands Cove Beach. The dog was two to four years of age, and its muzzle and legs were bound. Police said it appeared as though the dog may have drowned. Authorities say Wisell killed the dog, which was actually his girlfriends, because he thought it was having behavioral issues. Wisell allegedly told his girlfriend he had found a new home for the pup. But police say he had actually killed it. His girlfriend is not facing any charges.
