Mookie Blaylock 10/365 Day number Ten and a riddle...you have a band, you put out a debut album...it has 11 tracks...what do you call it? Ten of course (Insert Mookie Blaylock-a sad story for another time). I had my first job. I had a paycheck. I had a car. I had a crappy stereo and I bought this tape (yes kids, a cassette tape) three times because walkman, car stereo, and tape player at home all found this entire album tasty too but I say dammit son! Money WELL spent....favorite song? The whole damn tape! front to end flip over and repeat. Some say Pearl Jam is Eddie Vedder, some say it is Seattle. I believe the spine of a song is its baseline and that baseline was formed by the guy who recruited Eddie and that guy was not from Seattle. Jeff Ament honed his craft in his home state of Montana. If the University of Montana had not discontinued a graphic design program, ament doesnt drop out of college, doesnt move to Seattle, and Pearl Jam likely never exists.
