Moores law on technology advances has not excluded Agriculture as an industry, any more than other industries. While its nice and sentimental to think that the business of growing food can be done the same pastoral way as was done in your grandfathers time, the technologies that make other businesses more efficient, also apply to Agriculture, and consumers and the environment are the beneficiaries. >>Advances in information technology, breeding, and biotechnology are on a path toward convergence.
