Moot Court Association - Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia Call for Papers: Seminar on 6 Decades of Indian Constitution & Inclusiveness [Feb 2015]; Submit by Nov 20 Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP), University of Mysore is pleased to invite you to two days National Seminar on “Six Decades of Indian Constitution and Inclusiveness” scheduled to be held in February, 2015. Objectives 1. To review Constitutional vision in formulating inclusive growth & development; 2. To assess the role of Constitution in advocating distributive and corrective justice; 3. To re-asses Constitutional & legislative reforms in implementing inclusive development; 4. To suggest new strategies and tools for making inclusive social, economic and political justice accessible to the common man. Thrust Areas 1. Fundamental Rights and Socio-Economic Rights 2. Constitutional amendments and agrarian reforms 3. Social Welfare Legislations on Health, Education, Environment and Employment 4. Women, Children and Marginalised Sections 5. Directive Principles of State Policy and Judicial process Target Group 1. Academicians, Researchers and Students of various disciplines 2. Judges, Law Academicians, Lawyers and Researchers 3. Government Officials and Policy Makers 4. Representatives of NGO and General Public Call for papers Research papers are invited from the bar, bench, academicians, researchers and practitioners on the broad themes given below. Abstracts containing not more than 250 words should be sent. On acceptance of abstracts, full papers should be sent by the authors. Only those full papers which are approved by the screening committee will be allowed to be presented at the seminar. Selection of abstracts doesn’t necessarily mean that the full papers will be selected. The research papers are to be between 2,000 and 3,500 words (exclusive of abstract, footnotes and annexure). A uniform and consistent citation in footnotes is to be followed. Authors should mention the “broad theme” under which the paper is prepared. Co-authorship is allowed up to two authors and at least one of the authors should present the paper at the seminar. Public Interest Litigation for Tackling Corruption Travel and Accommodation Second class sleeper train fare from the shortest route will be reimbursed for one of the paper presenters.
