I talked to Tom today. He was our neighbor in Beesleys Point. He told me that the new owners of Blakes house cut down 23 trees. I cant even imagine that, the trees made the property so beautiful and wooded. I closed my eyes and imagined myself there and walked around the yard to count the trees, it must be all of them, or nearly all of them. I know life must go on, but the trees are life, why would you cut them all down? Beautiful oaks, pines and cedars that brought a real peace to the home. Its the first time Ive cried about Blakes death in this way, in a while, but for some reason this made me really sad. I dont even know what I mean by this way, but it feels like it did when it all first happened. There is a rawness to this that I did not expect.
