Mopars In Motion Shows have both Stock and Modified categories for a number of the show classes. It is up to the car owner to determine which class best suits their vehicle. At every show, the question is always asked of the volunteers checking in vehicles, What class should I enter?. Many people are new to the hobby and showing their beloved Mopar, and just arent sure which class to place their vehicle. If your car is modified, you normally arent going to place well among cars that are stock, and vice versa. Here are the generally accepted guidelines that are followed at shows around the country and clear up the question, Stock or Modified? STOCK: This Class is for Original Appearing vehicles, whether they are original from the factory or have been restored to look original. Vehicles must appear as they were delivered to the dealership as a new vehicle with Original Looking Engine Compartments, Interiors and Exteriors, paint colors that are consistent with the factory options that were available for that year, make, and model. Matching numbers are not a must. Vehicle may have up to Two or Three Bolt-On Modifications, such as tire, wheels, tachometer on the steering column, stereo, and so on, to remain in the stock class. MODIFIED: This category is for vehicles that have been modified beyond the simple bolt-ons. This class is for owners who like to individualize their vehicles. Custom paint, tires, wheels, headers, engine swaps, and so on belong in this class- paint color or style changes not factory original (flames, paint graphics, stripes), addition of hood scoops or spoilers, wide rim/tire combinations in the rear and skinny in front, Engine/Transmission CID changes. Intake manifolds, Tunnel Rams/Blowers, Heads, Exhaust, Braided lines. Interior changes to seats, material/color, roll bar, custom grille, Etc.
