More Albany Corruption: Assemblyman and New York State Democrat Chairman Keith Wright has been caught taking per diems from the state for days he wasnt in Albany. This has happened over and over again. It happens because legislators dont need to provide receipts to claim travel reimbursements and per diems. What private business would operate like that? My bill A.7289 would require receipts for reimbursement, but Democrats are blocking it in committee. Taxpayers are losing out and Sheldon Silver just doesnt care.
