More details for the Public Ceremony for the late Mr Karpal Singh Date : 20 April 2014 Sunday. - Dewan Sri Pinang, Lebuh Light 8.00am - Cortège will depart from Jalan Utama residence Route: Jalan Utama - Jalan Macalister - Peel Avenue - Jalan Perak - Jalan Burma - Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah - Lebuh Farquhar - Lebuh Light - DEWAN SRI PINANG 9.00 am - Paying of last respect by members of the public 10.30am Paying of respect State Government representatives Political party representatives Associations, professional bodies, religious organizations and others Family members and relatives Prayers session for family members 11.00 am Cortège to leave Dewan Sri Pinang All participants must assembly outside Dewan Sri Pinang Cortège will circle the Penang High Court building and stop in front of Green Hall Funeral procession will begin Led by Police, followed by Ubah truck and band Cortège to follow Family members to follow the cortège Other participants to follow Bicycle team Big bike team Route: Turn left into Lebuh Light and proceed to the roundabout and moves on to the Penang State Assembly building (cortège stops briefly) Continue along Lebuh Light, Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Lebuh Farquhar and stop briefly in front of St. Xavier Secondary School. Procession will disperse here. Cortège to proceed to Bukit Gantung Crematorium. Participants who wish to join the final journey can proceed to their own vehicles. Route: Lebuh Farquhar, straight to Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, Jalan Larut, Jalan Burma, Jalan Pangkor, Jalan Perak, Jalan Macalister, Jalan Residensi, Jalan Utama, left to Scotland Road, straight until traffic junction, turn left into Jalan Batu Gantung and reach Crematorium at the end of the road.
