More from my research on plant protein vs. whey concentrate protein: Lets just put it this way both have there place. Majority of the protein ideally should be plant proteins. As everyone knows plants are extremely healthy but also plant proteins are also more of a sustainable protein in the sense that it is also slow releasing throughout the day in the body and cells much like non denatured casein does, casein having a very complete amino acid profiile. Again as many of you already know whey concentrated is ideally superior for taking right after physical muscle training activities and weight training because of its fast release into the muscles. Whey concentrate again also boosts glutathione production. So in conclusion its not nessessarily that whey concentrate is better than plant proteins they both have their place. It is true that whey concentrate has a higher biological value but really not by much, and as far as slow release proteins go the measurement of biological value is not a completely accurate indicator on whether a protein is better than the other, again both slow releasing and fast releasing both have their place and unique function. There are again also other variables such as amino acid content, levels of amino acids, and of course the type of protein it is.
