More fun to read the comments section, like this: to XXX anson for your information, british people dont enjoy universal suffrage to elect their own PM but their PM had no problem of legitimacy to govern whole uk. there are no clear cut separation of power in uk - remember the lord chancellor? none of cabinet member in uk are elected by the people who sits in the cabinet was appointed by the PM. there are allegation that independence of judiciary in uk is a myth. independence only refer to security of tenure appointment of judge is a political decision by PM- closer to his political view. BBC is a uk govt mouthpiece- read the history BBC - connection with crown. there are no press freedom in uk uk media coverage on umbrella revolution in hk are one sided - peaceful (blocking the road, occupying the road, disobey police order, storming the police line)
