More memories, old and new, at CayugaFest yesterday...this one an OMG! moment: as MC of the show, it was a pleasure to introduce Straight South, a husband/wife duo of Steve Fortin and Kathleen Fortin from the Niagara area. Backstage, as Steve and I were chatting, he remembered me from my six years at 1470 CHOW (which no longer exists) in my hometown of Welland, Ont. Steve was part of one of the hottest locals bands back then, The Rider Band. I began having instant flashbacks! We did a lot of shows together. So much so, that the band once presented me with my own Rider Band tour jacket, complete with my name embroidered on the front! I told Steve I still have the jacket and this morning, I found it! OMG! Great set, yesterday, guys, and its so great to reconnect with Steve after nearly 30 years! Keep up the great work!
