More news on my dad.... Ok yesterday dad was well enough to be moved out of Intensive Care and is now in a Neurology Unit. He still has a fever that they just cant seem to sort. He still has the tubes in his head that are constantly draining the cerebral fluid which will allow the brain to swell should it still need to. He cant be moved closer to home yet as it is too dangerous for him to travel. So we have to travel three hours each way every time we visit him. Dad still has not eaten or drunk anything, he is being tube fed. He still has loads of tubes in him that control various medications. He is able to respond to questions and recognises certain pictures we have shown him. On Monday he even managed to hold my sparkly mobile phone and said it was beautiful. We are trying desperately to overcome the language barriers and to try and get some help in place for my mum so that we can return home soon. Thanks again for all your kind words, we reckon the candle thing we did made a difference, silly but not silly. Ok will update more soon as we know more. Just to say a BIG thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses that have cared for dad, nothing is too much trouble and you all work so hard. We owe you so much. Bye for now, all of us...
