More options Minister of State for Power, Mohammed Wakil, Reacts to KSM News Report ...Insult office of the Shehu of Borno Minister of State for Power Mohammed Wakil has berated the Shehu of Borno for shunning ex-Governor Sheriff - an alleged Boko Haram financier, when the former governor and his entourage paid the traditional homage to the Shehu of Borno at his Palace and the Shehu was nowhere to receive them. The Minister made his feelings known through one of his media aides Abubakar Goni, while reacting to an online publication by KSM News on plots by the Borno PDP to rig elections with soldiers, police and armoured tankers behind them (PDP) as alleged by Wakil at a PDP stakeholders meeting in Maiduguri. Pls, read full text of Mr Wakils reaction below and subsequent KSM News Response: Press Alert Our attention has been drawn to a concocted lies on one discredited site called KSM News in which the Honourable Minister of State Power ,Hon Mohammed WAKIL was alleged to have issued a statement in which he threatened to rig the 2015 poll in Favour of PDP.There is no iota of truth in the said posting and it should be disregarded as a thrash from a desperate mind sensing failure and defeat next year. The speech delivered by the Honourable Minister was widely published by several newspapers and journalists from all media organizations who were in attendance. There was never a meeting where the minister delivered such threats of insinuations on the 2015 polls. In Borno politics ,Hon WAKIL is known to be a gentleman,a democrat and even Governor Shetimma had on several occasions described the minister as a responsible discipline politician for whom he had great respect. Where the Governors boys got their lies and blackmail from is not clear. We can however guessed that the mammoth reception accorded PDP and its leaders is causing the Shetimma government sleepless nights. The reception of Monday also added to the headache of APC government. Since Monday the Governor has largely became a desperado ,acting in manners unexpected of a state chief executive. First,he stopped the Shehu of Borno from receiving the PDP delegation. Never in the history of Borno emirate has the seat of Shehu been so degraded and rubbished . Secondly ,he instructed some state officials not to receive relief materials donated by PDP elders and leaders. Many more unbecoming conducts can be identified. Rather than accusing the PDP,we put it to Shetimma caucus that it was chasing a shadow. hon WAKIL is not his problem. His crisis and problem is with the Borno people whom he had misgoverned and foisted bad governance on. The PDP is only on rescue mission and no amount of cheap blackmail like the post can stop this moving train.
