More rain to come overnight (surprise surprise) but clearing away Eastwards by morning for most with a few showers following in to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Tomorrow England and Wales start mostly dry with the cloud breaking up as the morning goes on to give some brighter spells, whilst the showers spread across Northern Ireland and Scotland, wintry over the hills. The showers then become more widespread across the UK through the afternoon. Overnight frost for Central and Eastern Scotland and England on Saturday, but then by Sunday morning spells of heavy rain along with gale force winds working their way in to the Western half of the UK and spreading Eastwards through the morning. The risk of flooding remains high across the country but the highest risk will be across the Western half of the UK. Looking in to next week and it will be rather chilly with showers or spells of rain to come, but with the air turning cooler through the week an increasing risk of the showers turning wintry. Then towards the end of next week we could start to see a battle of Atlantic frontal systems vs Colder air to the East - thats one to keep an eye on for now but in the meantime the concern remains potential flooding on Sunday.
