More than 2 million Australians are at risk of defaulting on their basic household debts over the next year, a report out today warns. The Veda report singled out generation Y Australians - those born in the 1980s - as having the worst scorecard. The study found that 22 per cent of gen Ys are likely to overspend to maintain lifestyles they cannot afford and are keeping up with the Joneses.
