More than 20 Kern County and Bureau of Land Management firefighters are working to keep a five-acre wildfire from spreading near Maricopa. County Fire spokesman Brandon Hill says they are hitting the fire hard before the wind can push it too far. There are crews in the area responding, and we also have a helicopter responding, with two tankers and an Air Attack.
