More than 250,000 of you will receive brochures, wallet cards and fridge magnets with details of our Support Service this week. Our preliminary mail out includes Launceston, Hobart, Burnie, Ballarat, Bendigo, Warrnambool and other towns in the regions. Keeping a magnet on the fridge can be a simple, but important reminder that help is available if you or a friend or family member should ever need it. Our Support Service allows people who feel they may be struggling with depression or anxiety to receive free, short-term counselling with a trained mental health professional. The first step towards seeking support for depression and anxiety is often the most difficult step to take. Getting in touch with the Support Service can help point you in the right direction. People can access the Support Service by telephone at any time of the day by calling 1300 22 4636. There is also web chat available between 3PM and 12AM, and an email service which can be accessed at beyondblue.org.au/getsupport
