More than 700 troops of Russia’s Baltic Fleet troops took part in the final stage of large-scale drills on the Khmelevka range in Kaliningrad on Monday. A group of Baltic Fleet marines descended on the shore on board 20 BTR 82-A armoured personnel carriers and several Ka-27PC helicopters. The troops simulated destroying and capturing vital objects representing the coastal defence infrastructure of potential enemies, preparing the ground for a major troop landing.
