Morning Devotion !!!! Morning Devotion !!!!! “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2: 7). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When God formed man, He breathed into man the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Man could not move until God put His breath into man. Man’s existence and movement was not powered by physical form; it was powered by Gods breath in man. So, God did not design man to be driven by form; He designed man to be driven by His breath in man. Friend, God didnt design you to be driven by form; He created you to be driven by His breath in you; God created you to be moved, not by what is on the outside, but by what is inside; God created you, not to be moved or controlled by the power of your flesh, but by His Spirit in your inner man. God gave the driver’s seat of your life to the Spirit He put in you. If your flesh and its impulses rule over you and control your existence, you are living in error. If what your eyes can see determines how you live, then you are living below God’s standards. The impulses and perceptions of the flesh are mostly negative, and are reminders of man’s fallen nature; if your life is an advertisement of the traits arising from man’s fallen nature, you are making a huge mistake. Instead of allowing the flesh to rule and move you, allow the Spirit of God to reign over you; allow God’s Spirit in you to determine your actions; let your emotions be guided and driven by God’s Spirit; dominate over your flesh with the help of Gods Spirit. Allow the Spirit of God to take charge of your life, and the flesh will have no power over you. Romans 8 vs. 6 captures it aptly: “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Pray With Me: Lord, let Your Spirit take charge over me; I won’t be ruled or moved by the flesh, in Jesus’ name!
