Morning Fanatics, Let us call this Telenovela Analysis, and today I want us to be film critics. We have watched a lot of soap operas and that is enough experience to analyze a soap. Being the critics that we are, I want us to start by analyzing La Tempestad or The Tempest by first looking at its weaknesses. I am sure this is going to be fun. In Literature, we call it practical criticism or Literary appreciation. Remember that as you appreciate a work of Literature like La Tempestad, and you speak of the weaknesses, it is not meant to dispise the soap but to show your immense understanding of the soap. As for me, the greatest weakness of the soap is the emergence of Marinas identical twin sister. I am not refuting the fact that twins can be identical. The two Marinas to me shows the unrealitiness of the story because back in my mind I am aware that camera tricks have been employed to create the two characters. This to me degrades the validity of the story. I feel the story would have been more authentic if Marinas twin was not identical. I do not know what the audience will feel when the two meet eventually. For me, I feel conned. What are your weakness(es)? You can also expound on mine or oppose it....
